The Baptist of New Brentford met in private houses until 1808
when a chapel was built in Market Place After 1851 they met in
the Town hall In 1855 Park chapel (later church) known as
'The chapel in the fields' was put up in Boston Lane which
was the farmland (now the junction of Boston Manor Rd and
the Great West Rd) This was demolished in 1990 after the
Park Baptists merged with the Congregationalists at the
Brentford free Church in 1988.
The Old Brentford Baptists began meeting in a building opposite
the Half Moon and Seven Stars pub at 25 High Street, before
moving to North rd in 1839. In 2002 the North Rd chapel was
closed and the congregation merged with the Baptists of the
Ealing Rd chapel this congregation was an offshoot of the Park
Baptists formed in 1893. The main body of the present church
was built between 1913 and 1917.
