I went to the garden centre today to buy a few pansies to brighten up my garden. Every year I always buy a box of pansies to plant in my garden. I came across boxes of pansies on the shelves they all had different colours and the faces imagine,I can see it is as if I am greeted by a row of friends every time I walk along the garden path they looked so gorgeous that I couldn't help but to buy a box. Shakespeare's Ophelia. Said that pansies were for thoughts and it is the emblem of love and kind thoughts. I was reading a book on flowers the other day and found out that the pansy is a flower associated with St Valentine's Day. In years gone by it was believed that an infusion of its leaves would cure a broken heart. Pansies are known by number of other names such as Heartscase, Two-faced-under-the-sun and Face-and-hood. Sometimes they are called Herb Trinity but they often have three colours and three petals to remind us of the Holy Trinity. In flower language the pansy symbolises contentment every time I see my border of pansies in my garden I always remember all the lovely thoughts associated with them.

I hope you enjoy the rest
