THE SOUTH WEST CORNER
OF THE BUTTS
AS IT WAS
and
AS IT IS NOW

The South West Corner of the Butts in 1902,
with the lane on the left leading to the rear
of the court house. The cottage to the right of
the bar was demolished in 1910. On the extreme
right the Mill, on the banks of of the River Brent,
was replaced in 1904 by the Boatman's Institute.

The lane is still used by people to go to and
from the High Street. There only remains one
wall to the right of the bar. It looks more
attractive with the trees and you can not see
the Boatman's Intitute because of the trees.
