WESLEYAN CHURCH
AS IT WAS
and
AS IT IS NOW
The Wesleyan Church at the junction of
Windmill And clifden Roads in 1903,
photographed whilst the spire was being
erected. The chapel was built in 1889
and demolished in 1961, when the amalgamation
with New Road Primitive Methodist Church
took place. On the right can be seen the
entrance to Clifden House, demolished in
1953 and now the site of the gardens around
the Brentford Library.

A block of Flats were built on the old church
grounds, nearly hiden by trees.
