Layton Road , looking towards Windmill Road, with, on the left, property demolished in 1906 for the London and South Western Railway sidings. Originally called Brockshot Road, the name changed to Layton Road.





Layton Road is now called Brockshot Close and is part of a housing estate that goes halfway down to the railway bridge in the old Layton Road. Bernard Gardiner lives in No 1 Brockshot close, remember him when he played for Brentford football Club. My daughter Carol used to live in No 2 until she moved to Berksire.
