KEW BRIDGE TERMINUS
AS IT WAS
and
AS IT IS NOW
A horse tram owned by the West Metrolopolian
Tramways Company at the Kew Bridge terminus
c.1890. The service operated to Hammersmith
from 1882 until 1901, when the line was
electrified and extended to Hounslow. Behind
is the second Kew Bridge. Where the cart is,
there use to be a water trough for the horses
and there were underground toilets at this point.
In the mornings and late afternoons, this part
of Brentford is jammed with motorists trying to
get to work and getting home.
